This Privacy Policy explains how the Denerim Test Windows desktop application processes user data and technical information when detecting connected peripherals, performing hardware tests, and providing Denerim Pro Desktop pairing.

Denerim Test is a Windows desktop utility designed to test computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, gamepads, microphones, speakers, headphones, and cameras.

1. Data Collected or Processed

During normal use, the Denerim Test desktop application does not ask the user to enter a name, phone number, email address, or similar direct identity information.

The application does not collect, sell, or use the following data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or behavioral tracking:

• Name, phone number, or contact information
• Location data
• Contacts or address book information
• Personal documents or user files
• Advertising identifiers or identifiers used for ad tracking
• Payment card or banking information
• A permanent record of typed text
• Advertising or user profiles created from camera or microphone data

When hardware tests are performed, certain device information, input events, audio samples, or image frames may be processed temporarily on the user's Windows device. These operations are explained in the sections below.

2. Device Center and Connected Device Detection

The Device Center on the Denerim Test home page may detect peripherals connected to the computer or reported as available by Windows.

The following technical information may be read through Windows:

• The device name displayed by Windows
• Device type or category
• Manufacturer or product name
• Windows device identifier
• VID, PID, or similar hardware identifiers on supported devices
• Whether the device is connected, enabled, or available

This information is processed to display connected peripherals on the home page, reduce duplicate entries for the same physical device, and direct the user to the relevant test page.

Hardware information read by the Device Center is not automatically sent to denerim.com servers unless the user initiates Denerim Pro device pairing.

3. Keyboard Test Data

During keyboard tests, the application may read key press and key release events from the user's physical keyboard in real time.

This information is processed to display pressed keys on the virtual keyboard, verify whether the keys are working correctly, and provide hold-duration, key-combination, and other supported keyboard measurements.

Denerim Test does not create a permanent record of typed text. Keyboard input is not used for advertising, profiling, behavioral tracking, or marketing.

The application does not operate for the purpose of secretly collecting or recording text typed in the background.

4. Keyboard Chatter Test

The Keyboard Chatter Test, available as part of Denerim Pro, may analyze whether the same key is detected again within an unusually short interval.

The following technical results may be calculated locally during this test:

• Key name
• Key press time
• Repeat interval
• Suspicious double-press count
• Total press count
• Chatter rate
• Risk level

Raw keyboard input generated during the chatter test is not automatically sent to denerim.com servers. The information is processed locally to operate the test and display the result to the user.

5. Mouse Test Data

During mouse tests, the application may read left, right, middle, and side-button clicks, double clicks, scroll activity, pointer movement, and supported measurement values related to movement frequency in real time.

This information may be processed locally to:

• Show whether mouse buttons are functioning
• Check scroll direction and activity
• Display double-click events
• Visualize pointer movement
• Analyze movement packets or measurement frequency on supported devices

Mouse input is not used for advertising, behavioral tracking, or user profiling and is not automatically sent to denerim.com servers.

6. Gamepad Test Data

During gamepad tests, the application may read the real-time input state of compatible controllers reported as available by Windows.

The following information may be processed locally:

• A, B, X, Y, and other gamepad button states
• D-pad directions
• Left and right analog stick positions
• Left and right trigger values
• Connection and controller number information
• Test commands sent to vibration motors

During a vibration test, the application may send short commands to the gamepad vibration motors at the user's request.

The Denerim Pro Analog Drift Test may measure how far the analog sticks move away from their center positions. The Trigger Range Test may analyze the minimum, maximum, and usable movement ranges of the triggers.

Gamepad buttons, analog values, trigger measurements, and test results are processed locally and are not automatically sent to denerim.com servers.

7. Speaker and Headphone Tests

During speaker and headphone tests, the application may play test sounds through the audio output device selected in Windows.

These tests may include:

• Left, right, and center channel sounds
• Stereo channel tests
• Bass sounds
• Mid-range or vocal sounds
• Treble sounds
• Frequency sweep sounds
• Gaming or footstep direction test samples

These features do not record the user's conversations or other audio playing on the computer. During speaker and headphone tests, the application only sends test audio generated by or included with the application to the output device.

8. Microphone Test Data

The microphone test may capture audio samples from the selected microphone only after the user starts the test.

The following information may be calculated locally:

• Live audio level
• RMS audio level
• Peak audio level
• dBFS value
• Number of audio channels
• Sample rate and supported audio format
• Recording duration

The user may start a short recording to test microphone audio and play the recording back inside the application. Recording is initiated explicitly by the user.

Microphone recordings are not automatically saved to the user's files and are not automatically uploaded to denerim.com servers. Recording data may be held temporarily in application memory and becomes unavailable when the user deletes the recording or closes the application.

When live monitoring is enabled, microphone audio may be routed to the selected or default Windows audio output device for testing. Because this may cause echo or audio feedback, using headphones is recommended.

The Denerim Pro Noise Floor Test may measure background noise generated by the microphone in a quiet environment. The Voice Quality Test may analyze technical values such as peak level, clipping ratio, and channel balance on supported microphones.

Microphone audio is not used for speech recognition, identity verification, biometric analysis, advertising targeting, or user profiling.

9. Camera Test Data

The camera test may capture image frames from the selected camera only after the user starts the live preview.

The following information may be processed locally:

• Camera device name or camera number
• Live camera images
• Image resolution
• Measured or camera-reported frame rate
• Image brightness
• Camera usage duration
• Time intervals between frames

The user may mirror the live image horizontally or temporarily freeze the current image. A frozen image is displayed only inside the application.

Camera images are not automatically saved as photo or video files and are not automatically sent to denerim.com servers.

The Denerim Pro Image Quality Test may analyze average brightness, contrast, and sharpness. The Frame Stream Test may calculate actual frame rate, frame-time variation, stream stability, and the estimated number of dropped frames.

Camera images are not used for facial recognition, identity verification, biometric data creation, object tracking, advertising targeting, or user profiling.

10. Denerim Pro Tests and Test Results

Advanced tests provided as part of Denerim Pro may generate technical results relating to hardware performance.

These results may include:

• Keyboard chatter rate and risk level
• Gamepad analog drift and trigger range
• Microphone noise floor, clipping, and channel balance
• Camera brightness, contrast, sharpness, and frame-stream stability
• Supported advanced results for mouse or audio-device tests

Raw hardware data and local analysis results from these tests are not automatically sent to denerim.com servers unless separately shared by the user.

Only technical information required for device pairing and Pro access verification may be sent to the server to verify Denerim Pro status.

11. Denerim Pro Desktop Pairing

To use Denerim Pro features in the desktop application, the desktop device may be paired with the user's Denerim Pro account in the Denerim Test Android application.

During pairing, the desktop application may create a temporary QR pairing session through denerim.com servers.

The following technical information may be processed:

• Pairing code
• Pairing session expiration time
• Desktop device name or computer name
• Desktop device type
• Pairing status
• Device ID
• Hashed value of the device token
• Last check or last-seen time
• Device removal or revocation status

The QR code does not contain payment information, a Google account password, a Denerim Pro purchase token, or the desktop device token.

After pairing, a device token may be provided to the desktop application. This token is used to verify Pro access for the desktop device and may be stored locally on the user's Windows device.

The plain-text version of the device token is not permanently stored on the server. Hashed values may be used for verification.

The user may view and remove paired desktop devices from the Denerim Pro device management section of the Android application. Removing a device may disable Pro access in the desktop application.

12. Internet and Server Usage

Most core hardware tests in the Denerim Test desktop application can operate without an internet connection.

An internet connection may be used to:

• Create a Denerim Pro Desktop pairing QR code
• Verify the Pro status of the desktop device
• Check whether a paired device remains active
• Update device last-seen or heartbeat status

Raw test data generated during keyboard, mouse, gamepad, microphone, speaker, headphone, or camera tests is not automatically sent to denerim.com servers as part of these operations.

13. Local Data Processing

Input events, audio samples, image frames, and analysis results generated during hardware tests are primarily processed on the user's Windows device.

Active testing ends when the application is closed. Denerim Test does not operate for the purpose of secretly monitoring keyboard, mouse, gamepad, microphone, or camera data in the background.

Microphone recordings, frozen camera frames, and active test results may be temporarily held in application memory. This data is not automatically converted into permanent user files.

A locally stored Pro device token may be used to verify Pro access. When the user removes the device connection or deletes application data, the local token may also be deleted.

14. Camera, Microphone, and Hardware Permissions

Access to protected devices such as cameras and microphones may depend on Windows privacy settings and system permissions granted by the user.

The user may disable camera or microphone access through Windows Settings. If permission is not granted, the relevant tests may not operate or may operate with limited functionality.

Denerim Test does not attempt to bypass camera or microphone permissions blocked by Windows.

Access to keyboards, mice, gamepads, and other hardware may also be limited by Windows drivers, device compatibility, and operating-system permissions.

15. Microsoft Store and Windows Services

The application may be downloaded and updated through Microsoft Store. Microsoft Store and the Windows operating system may independently process technical information such as installation data, updates, reliability, crash reports, permission usage, or device compatibility under Microsoft's own privacy policies.

This information is managed by Microsoft. Denerim Test does not directly control Microsoft account data, Microsoft Store payment information, or Windows diagnostic information.

16. Third-Party Software Components

Denerim Test may use locally operating software libraries within the application to provide microphone and camera testing.

Audio components used for microphone operations and image-processing components used for camera tests process test data on the user's device.

Microphone recordings and camera images are not automatically uploaded by Denerim to third-party servers through these local software components.

The Denerim Test desktop application does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs for user tracking, behavioral advertising, or marketing.

Denerim Pro purchases are not made directly through the desktop application. Purchases and account management may be handled through the Android application and Google Play infrastructure. The desktop application only checks through denerim.com servers whether Pro access is active for the paired desktop device.

If advertising, analytics, cloud synchronization, or similar third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

17. Data Sharing

Denerim Test does not sell user data and does not share hardware-test input, microphone audio, or camera images with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Technical device information processed for Desktop Pro pairing may be processed on denerim.com servers to verify Pro access, manage device limits, prevent misuse, and allow users to manage paired devices.

Data may be shared with authorized public institutions when required by applicable law or when necessary to comply with legal obligations.

18. Administrator Privileges and System Changes

Denerim Test does not require administrator privileges for normal use.

The application does not:

• Install hardware drivers
• Create Windows services
• Modify protected system settings
• Perform undisclosed background monitoring
• Operate for the purpose of activating the camera or microphone before the user starts a test

19. Retention and Deletion

Raw input information, microphone audio samples, and camera images generated during hardware tests are not permanently transmitted to the server and are processed temporarily within the relevant test experience.

A microphone recording initiated by the user may be temporarily held in application memory until the user deletes the recording or closes the application.

Camera images and frozen frames are not automatically stored as permanent photo or video files.

Device records created for Denerim Pro Desktop pairing may be retained for as long as necessary to provide Pro access, manage device limits, prevent misuse, and support account operations.

The user may remove a paired desktop device from the device management section of the Android application. After removal, Pro access for that desktop device becomes inactive.

20. Children's Privacy

Denerim Test is not specifically directed to children. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

21. Data Security

Denerim Test communicates with denerim.com servers over HTTPS for Denerim Pro verification and desktop pairing operations.

Device tokens and pairing information are processed using technical security measures to verify Pro access and prevent unauthorized use.

Local processing of microphone and camera tests prevents this data from being automatically transmitted to Denerim servers. However, no electronic system or data-processing method can provide an absolute guarantee of security.

Device security, Windows privacy settings, and Microsoft Store account security are managed through Microsoft services and the user's own security preferences.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when new application features are added, existing features are changed, or legal requirements change.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date.
