Denerim Test Mobile App Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Denerim Test mobile application handles user data, tests performed on the phone's built-in hardware and connected peripherals, camera and microphone access, locally created audio recordings and photos, Denerim Pro purchase verification, verified app links, and Desktop device pairing.
Denerim Test is a utility application designed to test supported built-in microphones and cameras on the user's phone, as well as connected hardware and peripherals such as keyboards, mice, gamepads, headphones, external microphones, and external cameras. The “External Device Tests” and “Test This Phone” sections help the user clearly select the type of hardware they want to test.
1. Data Collected or Processed
The core hardware tests in Denerim Test can be used without requesting the user's name, surname, phone number, or similar identity information.
To use Denerim Pro features, the user may sign in with a Google account. In this case, certain information provided by Google may be processed to create a Denerim Pro account, verify the user's identity, manage Pro access, and display paired devices.
Information that may be processed includes:
- Google account identifier
- Email address
- Google sign-in verification information or identity token
- Denerim Pro account identifier
- Pro access and purchase status
- Paired Desktop device management status
Denerim Test does not collect, sell, or use the following information for advertising, behavioral marketing, or user tracking:
- Location information
- Contacts or address book information
- The contents of personal photos, videos, or files stored on the device
- Microphone or camera data
- Advertising IDs or device identifiers used for advertising tracking
- Payment card, bank account, or payment method information
Audio recordings created during microphone tests and photos created during camera tests are processed locally on the device. This content is not automatically uploaded or transmitted to Denerim servers.
2. Camera, Microphone, and User Permissions
Denerim Test may request camera or microphone permission through the Android operating system to provide camera and microphone features.
Permissions are not automatically requested when the application first opens. A permission is requested when the user opens a feature that requires it, such as the microphone test, camera test, or QR code scanner.
Camera and microphone access is used only to operate the relevant feature and perform a test initiated by the user. Denerim Test does not use the microphone or camera to continuously listen, record, create advertising profiles, or track users in the background without their knowledge.
The user may decline camera or microphone permission. If permission is denied, the relevant test feature may not function, but other parts of the application that do not require that permission may remain available.
The user may revoke previously granted camera or microphone permissions at any time through the Android application settings.
When the user starts a microphone or camera test from the “Test This Phone” section, the application may prioritize the phone's built-in microphone or built-in camera where supported. For tests started from the “External Device Tests” section, USB, OTG, wired, Bluetooth, or other supported external hardware recognized by Android may be prioritized. This selection is performed locally only to ensure that the test operates with the intended hardware.
3. Google Sign-In and Denerim Pro Account
Denerim Test may provide Google sign-in to enable Denerim Pro access and manage Pro features across supported devices.
When the user signs in with Google, verification information generated by Google may be sent to denerim.com servers. This information is used to verify the user's identity, create a new Denerim Pro account, or link the user to an existing account.
Denerim does not see, process, or store the user's Google account password. Google account verification is performed through Google infrastructure and denerim.com servers.
The Denerim Pro account may be used to manage purchase status, Pro access entitlement, purchase restoration, paired Desktop devices, and device pairing status.
4. Pro Purchases and Google Play Verification
Denerim Test uses Google Play Billing to provide paid Denerim Pro features inside the application.
Product prices, discounts, and offers available to the user are based on current and localized information provided by Google Play Billing. Offer eligibility may vary depending on the user's Google Play account, country or region, campaign period, and other conditions applied by Google Play. Denerim Test displays only the product, offer, and pricing information returned as eligible by Google Play and does not access the user's payment method details.
When the user purchases a monthly Denerim Pro subscription or lifetime Pro access, certain technical purchase information provided by Google Play may be sent to denerim.com servers to verify the purchase entitlement.
This information may include:
- Purchase token
- Product or subscription identifier
- Order or purchase status
- Purchase time
- Subscription expiration or renewal information
- Other technical information required for purchase verification
This information is processed only to verify Pro access, check purchase status, restore purchases, manage device limits, prevent fraudulent or abusive purchase attempts, and provide user support.
Payment card information, bank information, and payment method details are not viewed, processed, or stored by Denerim. Payments are handled by Google Play.
Information sent for purchase verification is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Restore Purchases
The user may use the restore purchases feature inside the application to reactivate previous Denerim Pro purchases.
During this process, existing purchase information associated with the user's Google Play account may be checked, and the relevant purchase token may be sent to denerim.com servers to verify Pro access.
Purchase restoration is performed only to recognize the user's existing purchase entitlement and display Denerim Pro access correctly.
6. Desktop Device Pairing and Device Management
Denerim Pro users may pair their Denerim Pro account in the Android application with the Denerim Test Desktop application.
Pairing may be completed using a QR code or manual pairing code. When QR scanning is used, the application may request camera permission. During this process, the camera is used only to read the QR code.
QR scanning images are not recorded, stored, or sent as images to denerim.com servers.
The QR code may contain technical information such as the pairing type, temporary pairing code, and pairing session expiration time. It does not contain the user's Google account password, payment card information, or Google Play purchase token.
The following technical information may be processed for Desktop pairing:
- Temporary pairing code
- QR pairing session status
- Desktop device name
- Desktop device type
- Device identifier
- Hashed device token
- Last seen or last verification time
- Whether the device is active, inactive, or removed
This information is processed only to enable Denerim Pro access on the Desktop device, manage device limits, display paired devices to the user, and prevent misuse.
The user may view and remove paired Desktop devices through the device management section of the Android application.
7. Phone and External Hardware Test Data Processed on the Device
Denerim Test may provide hardware testing through two separate areas: “External Device Tests” and “Test This Phone.” This distinction is used to determine which built-in or external hardware is prioritized locally and does not, by itself, cause additional test data to be sent to Denerim servers.
During keyboard and mouse tests, key presses, clicks, scroll actions, and movement events from connected input devices may be read and analyzed locally in real time.
During gamepad tests, analog stick, trigger, button, and other connected input data may be analyzed on the device.
During headphone tests, the application may generate short test sounds, channel tests, or sounds at different frequencies depending on the test selected by the user.
During microphone and camera tests, technical properties such as the name, type, connection method, sample rate, channel information, resolution, and frame rate of built-in or connected hardware may be read locally.
Raw input data and measurements generated during hardware tests are primarily processed on the device and are not automatically sent to Denerim servers.
8. Microphone Test and Local Audio Recordings
The microphone test may use microphone access to detect and test built-in microphones or external and USB microphones supported by Android.
The following operations may be performed locally during a microphone test:
- Measuring live audio levels
- Displaying an audio waveform
- Determining sample rate and channel information
- Examining interruptions or signal loss
- Measuring clipping, background noise, channel balance, or stability
- Creating a short audio recording at the user's request
- Playing the created recording back on the device
An audio recording is created only when the user starts the microphone test. The application does not continuously record audio or create a recording without a user-initiated action.
The created audio recording may be stored in the application's local storage or cache area on the device. It is not automatically sent to Denerim servers.
When the user selects “Share recording,” the Android system sharing interface opens. The user chooses which application or service will receive the recording. Sharing occurs only through the user's explicit action.
How a shared audio recording is processed by the selected third-party application or service is governed by that third party's own privacy policy.
9. Camera Test, USB Webcam, and Local Photos
The camera test may use camera access to detect and test built-in cameras or external USB webcams supported by the user's Android device.
The following operations may be performed locally during a camera test:
- Displaying a live camera preview
- Listing built-in and external cameras
- Displaying supported image resolutions
- Measuring frame rate, dropped frames, freezes, and stability
- Taking a photo at the user's request
- Displaying a preview of the most recently captured photo
External USB webcam support depends on the Android device's external camera support, USB Host or OTG capability, and whether the connected webcam is recognized by Android.
Camera images are used only while the camera test or QR code scanning feature is active. Live camera preview frames are not automatically sent to Denerim servers.
A photo is created only when the user selects “Take photo.” The created photo may be stored in the application's local storage or cache area on the device.
When the user selects “Share photo,” the Android system sharing interface opens. The user chooses which application or service will receive the photo.
How a shared photo is processed by the selected third-party application or service is governed by that third party's own privacy policy.
10. Test Reports and Local Records
Users may create Denerim Test Reports as part of Denerim Pro features. These reports may contain brand, model, connection type, user notes, test results, risk levels, and technical measurements generated during a test.
Report history may be stored locally inside the application. Unless the user chooses to share, copy, or export a report, report information is not automatically sent to Denerim servers.
Users may clear report history inside the application. Clearing application data through device settings or uninstalling the application may delete locally stored reports and application files.
11. Storage of Local Audio and Photo Files
Audio recordings created through microphone tests and photos created through camera tests may be kept in the application's local storage or cache area.
How long these files remain on the device may depend on Android cache management, application updates, the clearing of application data, or the removal of the application from the device.
Clearing the application cache or application data may delete locally stored audio recordings and photos.
Copies shared with another application may remain inside the receiving application or service. Deletion of those copies is controlled by the relevant third-party application.
12. Internet and Server Usage
The core hardware tests in Denerim Test primarily operate on the user's device.
An internet connection may be used to:
- Sign in with Google
- Create or verify a Denerim Pro account
- Verify Google Play purchase status
- Restore purchases
- Pair a Desktop device
- List or remove paired devices
- Update Denerim Pro status
Denerim Test may communicate with denerim.com servers, Google sign-in services, and Google Play services for these operations.
Verified app links published on denerim.com may open the relevant screen in the application directly on supported Android devices. For example, a Denerim Pro link may open the Pro screen inside the application. If the application is not installed, the link may open on the website or redirect to the Google Play store listing. Using these links does not automatically grant camera, microphone, or other device permissions and does not cause hardware test data to be sent to Denerim servers.
Camera previews, microphone analysis, local audio recordings, locally created photos, and core hardware test data are not automatically sent to Denerim servers.
13. Third-Party Services
Denerim Test may use Google sign-in infrastructure for Pro access and account verification.
Denerim Test uses Google Play Billing for Pro subscriptions and in-app purchase processing. Payments are handled by Google Play.
When the user chooses to share an audio recording, photo, or test report, third-party applications installed on the device may be displayed through the Android system sharing interface.
Denerim does not control how a third-party application or service selected by the user processes shared content. The user should review the privacy policy of the relevant third-party service.
In the current version, Denerim Test does not use third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or user tracking SDKs.
If advertising, analytics, or other third-party services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety declarations will be updated accordingly.
14. Data Sharing
Denerim Test does not sell user data and does not share user data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
For Denerim Pro, Google sign-in verification information, purchase tokens, product or subscription identifiers, Pro access status, and Desktop device pairing information may be processed on denerim.com servers.
Purchase information may be checked with Google Play services to verify purchase entitlement.
Sharing an audio recording, photo, or report occurs only when the user selects the relevant sharing button and chooses a destination application through the Android system sharing interface.
Denerim Test does not automatically send audio recordings, live camera images, or captured photos to third parties on behalf of the user.
15. Retention and Deletion
Denerim Pro account records, purchase verification records, and Desktop device pairing records may be retained for as long as necessary to provide Pro access, restore purchases, manage device limits, prevent misuse, and provide support.
Local test reports, microphone recordings, captured photos, and other local application records may be stored on the user's device.
Users may clear report history inside the application. Local audio and photo files may be deleted when the application cache or application data is cleared or when the application is removed from the device.
Certain records may need to be retained for the period permitted by applicable law to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, verify purchases, or resolve disputes.
16. Account Deletion and User Requests
The user may request deletion of a Denerim Pro account through the account management feature inside the application or through the account deletion web page identified in the Google Play store listing.
The user may also contact Denerim through the email address in the contact section for account, data deletion, access, correction, or privacy-related requests.
When an account deletion request is completed, Denerim Pro account information and associated personal data that are not required to be retained for legal or security purposes may be deleted or anonymized.
Purchase history and payment records associated with Google Play purchases may be retained by Google under its own legal obligations and policies. Denerim cannot directly delete payment records held by Google.
Deleting a Denerim Pro account may not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. The user must separately manage an active subscription through Google Play subscription settings.
17. Children's Privacy
Denerim Test is not specifically directed to children. The application does not intend to knowingly collect personal data from children.
18. Data Security
Denerim Test communicates with denerim.com servers over HTTPS during Google sign-in, Pro purchase verification, and Desktop device pairing.
Test operations, camera previews, microphone analysis, locally created media files, and report history are primarily processed on the user's device.
Sharing an audio recording, photo, or report occurs through the user's explicit choice and the Android system sharing interface.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free. Nevertheless, Denerim applies reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect processed information.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when application features, data processing practices, or legal requirements change.
If this Privacy Policy is changed, the updated text and the latest revision date will be published on this page.
